Project Greenway is a sustainable
fashion show put on by the Residence Hall Association (RHA)
containing outfits created by students. All outfits are
created entirely from recycled or “upcycled” materials. The
show will occur Friday, April 5 at 6:00pm in the PSU
Ballroom.
Instructions:
-
All entries must be submitted
by a student who lives in on-campus housing.
-
Outfits must be appropriate –
including the amount of skin shown and the advertising
present on materials used. It is recommended that models
wear clothing underneath their outfit, although points may
be deducted if that clothing can be seen.
-
All outfits must be crafted
from objects that are intended for non-clothing purposes and
can be recycled (ex. plastic bags, CDs, newspaper,
batteries). Although it can be recycled, outfits including
glass will be disqualified.
-
Molds, including pieces of
clothing, may be used, but must not be visible.
All entries must sign-up online using
the Sign Up button below or above, which links to a form
through surveys.missouristate.edu/project-greenway. The person who
fills this form out must live on-campus and be a part of the
group submitting the outfit.
The entries will be judged on criteria
including creativity and how successfully they incorporate
themes of sustainability. The winning outfit will receive
$150 in gift card(s), floor funds, or hall council funds –
as selected upon signing up. The second place outfit will
receive $75 and the third place outfit will receive $25. All
students who live on campus can enter to win one of the
multiple door prizes including TOMs shoes and other goods
made from recycled materials. Additionally, the winning
designs will win points towards their residence hall for
Green Games and all residents who attend will earn Green
Games points for their residence hall.
