RHA Officer Duties
President- The President represents the Residence Hall Association at
all required functions. He or she also prepares the agenda for all Executive
Board and General Assembly meetings and presides over all Executive Board and
General Assembly meetings. The President assists Executive Board members with
their designated tasks. He or she corresponds with other student leaders on
campus through the Student Leaders Council. The President represents the
resident population and is responsible for the adherence to the RHA
Constitution and Bylaws.
Administrative Aide- The Administrative Aide is the Vice President and
Secretary of the organization. If for any reason the president cannot be
present, the Administrative Aide takes over the presidential duties. He or she
is in charge of taking attendance and minutes at all meetings and keeping the
records for the organization. The Administrative Aide is responsible for making
sure the office has all the supplies that the organization may need.
Leadership Development Coordinator- The LDC is responsible for Fall
Leadership Day, Silver Bells, Appreciation Days, 5 Paw, and the Spring
Leadership Banquet. The LDC plans a lot of the bigger events throughout the
year. He or she also designs and creates things such as invitations, programs,
folders, and centerpieces.
National Communications Coordinator- The NCC shall organize delegations
for all state, regional, and national conferences. He or she also communicates
with other NCCs on a regional and national level. The NCC prepares the National
Information Center Report and reaffiliation forms, and must serve as the
Missouri State University voting representative in all NCC business matters of
MACURH and NACURH. When the RHA general assembly elects a new NCC for the
following school year, he/she is designated NCC-In Training for the following
year during the spring semester.
Programming Communications Coordinator- The PCC plans, organizes, and
implements educational and entertainment programs for on-campus residents as
well as programs specifically for General Assembly. The PCC coordinates
Halloween in the Halls and RHA Homecoming Events. He or she manages the
programming budget and publicizes programs and events, as well as keeping
reports and records of all RHA programs. The PCC is the head of the programming
committee, attending MACURH and NACURH conferences, meetings, and programs. The
PCC also represents Missouri State at all regional or national conferences. The
PCC keeps in touch with MACURH via their website for programming ideas, as well
as to keep the region notified of what is happening here at Missouri State.
Hall and University Enrichment Coordinator- The HUE is responsible for
making changes on the Missouri State campus that students want to see. He or
she is responsible for running the HUE committee that consists of the nine
building liaisons. Major reoccurring projects for the HUE committee are the
phone lists in the fall and the RHA Olympics in the spring.
Internal Communications Coordinator- The ICC is required to put up
bulletin boards in three locations around campus. The boards are located in
Blair-Shannon across from the dining center, across from the RHA office in
Hutchens House, and in the Garst Dining Center next to Hammons, and should be
updated once a month with designs to promote RHA. The ICC also writes a monthly
RHA newsletter that is distributed to all residents of Missouri State. He or
she also updates the RHA website and keeps it current with the various campus
events that go on throughout the year.
