The following entertainment will be provided during MACURH 2010:
Friday night
Campus Tour
Come and explore the lovely Missouri State campus on a one hour tour led by some of our University Ambassadors. Emphasis will be placed on the recently remodeled Siceluff Hall, Plaster Student Union, and some of the residence halls. If you or someone else in your delegation is interested in taking the tour, you must indicate that when you register for the conference.
The Beartones and A Cub Bella
Missouri State has two talented a cappella groups of students that will be performing for you. The Beartones is the male group that recently placed second in the nation and third in the world for collegiate a cappella groups. A Cub Bella is the female group and is equally talented. Be sure to come by and check out the awesomeness. If you are interested in checking out these groups before MACURH, you can go to
the Beartones' MySpace page and
A Cub Bella MySpace page.
Are You Smarter than A Missouri State Bear?
One of the conference's two interactive game shows will have delegates racking their memories of what they should have learned in elementary school. Inspired by "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader," delegates will win Bear Bucks for their school with the help of some average Missouri State students.
The Green Room Games
The recently remodeled Level One Game Center in the basement of the Plaster Student Union will be available for delegates to use at no additional cost. Delegates can bowl, play pool and ping pong, or relax with new and old friends.
The Singing Bee
The second interactive game show is made for all the music lovers out there. There will be trivia about all things related to music and lyrics. There will also be rounds of karaoke, so if you like to sing, this will be your chance to show us your stuff. This is also another opportunity to earn Bear Bucks for your school.
Socials
If you are interested in meeting new people who have similar positions or interests from the region, you can attend one of the socials. There will be 7 options available: Presidents, NRHH, PCC, NCC, First Time Delegates, LGBTQAA, and Advisors.
Saturday night
The Skinny Improv
Are you needing to laugh? You should come and see Springfield's very own Skinny Improv. Recognized locally as the one of the best things to do in Springfield, MO, they will be performing in the PSU Theater after closing ceremonies. They will be taking audience suggestions and transforming them into comedy gold. If you are interested in seeing them out before the conference,
check out their website.
Swap Shop
Are you wanting to say "Deal or No Deal"? Well you should go to the swap shop where delegates will be bartering school spirit items to obtain spirit items from other schools. This is also a good opportunity to swap clothespins and meet new friends.
Showcase Showdown Dance
What other way to end the awesome MACURH Conference than with an awesome dance? The DJ will be playing all your favorite tunes for you and all of your new friends at the end of the conference. Why wouldn't you be there?
