Spirit

This year's MACURH regional conference will be packed full of fun and excitement as the region comes on down to Missouri State! This game show-themed conference will have plenty of activities that revolve around the aspects of television game shows. Help show MACURH pride and school spirit by participating in the entertaining competitions below:

Roll call: During opening ceremonies, each delegation will introduce themselves by cheering, dancing, or performing a short skit. The roll calls for each delegation typically last 30 seconds, and should be no longer than 1 minute. They will be judged on originality, design, relatedness to the conference theme, and degree of school spirit.

Banner: We encourage schools to show spirit by making a banner for display throughout the conference. They may be no more that 5 feet wide by 5 feet tall. Grommets are required in the top edge of the banner to allow it to be displayed. Additionally, glitter may not be used. (Glitter-glue, however, may be used.) Banners will be judged on originality, design, relatedness to the conference theme, and degree of school spirit.

Display: In addition, we encourage schools to bring a display to MACURH 2010. They may be no more than 2 feet wide by 2 feet tall by 2 feet deep and cannot weigh more than 5 pounds. No electricity will be provided for displays. Displays will be judged based on originality, design, relatedness to the conference theme, and degree of school spirit.

Cheers: Cheers are a fun, people-connecting experience of any conference. We encourage your delegation to cheer where and when it's appropriate. Cheer zones will be defined before the conference. Check out this listing of NACURH/MACURH cheers.
